Comfort and consistency are effected by different air conditioning models. Different staged models will make a difference when it comes to in-home comfort.
Humidity often plays into comfort. Air conditioning units pull heat and humidity out of the air in your home, but different compressors can make a large difference in your air quality.
Sound is important to consider when thinking about installing a new air conditioning unit. If the compressor is loud, you can always add on a silencer or sound blanket.
All air conditioners are rated by their SEER- Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. The higher the SEER, the better! The minimum rating is 13, but these regularly range from 15-22.
Get comfortable even when it's cold outside by making sure you have the warmth you need in your home.
All air conditioners are rated by their AFUE- Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. The higher the AFUE, the better!
Humidity often plays into comfort. Different boilers can maintain temperature differently and make a large difference in your air quality.
The right unit for you is about performance and location. Compact units are more versatile when considering new installations.
A backflow issue is caused when water moves backward through the pipes contaminating the drinking water system. Common cross-contaminate points are hot tubs, swimming pools, and lawn sprinkler systems. Restano Heating, Cooling & Plumbing can install and repair various types of backflow prevention. Our backflow prevention plumbers have certifications to perform tests for residential and commercial properties in the Pittsburgh area.

Water used in residential and commercial spaces, such as plumbing, irrigation systems, or fire protection, should only flow into the property in a single direction. A sudden pressure change can affect the main supply line causing water to trickle back in. For example, if a sudden change occurs, such as a water main break or a nearby fire hydrant is in use, the system may lose pressure. The reduction in pressure in the pipeline no longer pushes water into the property in one direction. However, when water flows in the opposite direction, the water can contaminate the main water supply. Backflow is hazardous because it can contaminate public drinking water with impurities like fertilizers, pesticides, human waste, and toxic chemicals.
The backflow test is performed to investigate if backflow particles are present in the current system so that the cause can be determined to repair the issue. A certified plumber from Restano Heating, Cooling & Plumbing will begin by inspecting the system's pressure by attaching the backflow testing gauge, otherwise known as gate and relief valves. The plumber will close the downstream valve and wait a few minutes before checking for changes in the direction of movement of the pressure gauge and simultaneously checking for water leaks and other apparent signs by closing different valves.
If you fall into the category of annual backflow prevention inspection, be sure to connect with a licensed professional who is trained to perform the inspection. Restano Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is a licensed Pittsburgh, PA company that will inspect residential and commercial backflow systems.
